Attendees:
Larry Montoux, Monty Hamburger, Rick Curry, Sean Conlon,Terry Martin, Maverick, Gregg Woodcock,Terry Rhodes,Chris Olson,Todd Gow
Meeting notes:
Period=monthly seems about right.
"Share time" (especially "lessons learned") should be part of every meeting.
If meeting @ same location, fix Google/GPS/maps so people don't get lost.
Comments/recommendations/presentations regarding 3rd party pieces (VM, storage).
Best Practices.
Next meeting first week of December
Notes from December 6, 2011 User Group Meeting
Attendees:
Larry Montoux, Rick Curry, Harrison Wood, Robert Cole Jr, Maverick, Gregg Woodcock,Terry Rhodes
Meeting notes:
Gregg Woodcock presented several technical issues he had recently resolved and how he figured it out.
This, in turn, branched off into a couple tangent discussion regarding Splunk setup, searching, and Splunk Answers best practices.
Then we went around the room to see if others had similar stories to share and we discussed and helped each other.
At the end of the meeting, the group decided that Rick Curry from JCPenney would present something next month.
The group also decided to have future meetings on the second tuesday of each month, which makes next meeting will be on Jan 10, 2012.
