I hope I am not submitting in the wrong area.

I would like to know how to secure the information presented by Splunk light. I have installed the free version. I understand that the free version is a one user license. But by default it is one user that everyone can use. I would like to set at least one username and password on the system. If not I must bind it to an IP address and setup fixed IP's on all management stations and restrict traffic to those addresses.

Hi mstine!

Splunk with a Free License does not include authentication, so you will not be able to set a username and password. If you want this functionality, you can try the Enterprise license; you can request a 30 day free trial to see if this suits your needs. Feel free to contact support if you have additional questions.
